Maths might not play a specific role in HI-SGIL - we have split a STEM event into Science, Engineering, Technology and General Skills, we have even included the Arts. But that doesn't mean I have ignored, or forgotten about the all important 'M'.
Maths is more important now than it has ever been in its history. Maths enters every industry whether fully acknowledged or not.
This TED Talk by Conrad Wolfram gives an excellent overview of the huge importance of Maths and how we can engage learners in a subject that is typically perceived as boring.
